September brings us the last Block of the Month pattern for Sew Kitschy, the paper pieced BoM created by Kristy @ Quiet Play blog! Where have the months gone??
The final block was enough to keep me busy for awhile... with lots of little pieces!

And here is my block of Betty, happy in her kitchen...
Betty in her kitchen by Susie's Sunroom |
1. All of her laundry and ironing was done... see her crisply pressed red polka dot apron she is modeling for us ?
2. Her supper meal was made and placed in the oven, baking and bubbling ... and it is filling the house with delicious smells.
3. Have you noticed Betty's view out the window? (She has a big property, with lots of pine trees to look at. )
after posing for this "selfie".
And now, this is how all 9 blocks look together...

I think they would look nice as a mini quilt, to hang on a wall in my sunroom.
(I love to look at paper pieced blocks...)
I'm off to my sewing room! |
Your Betty block turned out great! Love the view from her window!
ReplyDeleteYou have an incredible patience for paper piecing! How large are those blocks ? It seems Betty is the more complex block. It will be a beautiful miniature.
ReplyDeleteYour Betty block is incredible! I love the view out her window and the thoughts that all her work is done!! LOL!! Lovely :)
ReplyDeleteWow, your Betty block turned out fab! I love that you gave her a hint of highlights in her hair (or is it going gray like me??). I wish I had such a lovely view out my own kitchen window. Great job!!
ReplyDeleteYour Betty is beautiful! I love the fussy cut view - pure genius! Every single one of your blocks is fabulous. I think it will make a lovely quilt for your sun room.
ReplyDeleteBetty is very spiffy looking in her fresh pressed polka dots!!! these blocks are going to turn into an amazing mini!!! Kristy's patterns are so amazing and i love how you have brought them to life with your fabric choices!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! The window says it all. You must be in the northern part of the country. I'd have to do palm trees on mine. :)
ReplyDeleteI've known for a long time that you are the queen of paper piecing and this latest block just proves it. You should indeed turn these into a wall quilt for your sewing room or maybe your dining room.
ReplyDeleteThis is just fabulous! I love all of these blocks and even more so with the fabrics you chose. You paper piece so incredibly well! I love your imagination too - and noticed the pretty view out Betty's window right away! It's been so long since I've visited and I just want to say "Hi Susie!"
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are so great. Love her view out the window. Cute idea.
