We are making little flatware, or cutlery (as they say in England), pouches this month!
Amy,  over at  Amy Made That! blog,  has given us a super cute idea, and easy free directions , to make a little flatware pouch to dress up our tables.  (And she has directions for placemats, too!)

Scrappy Mitten Flatware Pouch     design by Susie's Sunroom

I wanted to make a pouch for Christmas and the winter, and thought a mitten could be cute.  It is an easy way to use up scraps, too.

I will finish making  up a little tutorial this coming week, to show you  how to make  up this  little  scrappy mitten silverware pouch.

Amanda,  The Patchsmith,   also had decorating for the  Christmas holidays on her mind when making her cutlery pouches...

Amanda's  Flatware Pouches    highlighted with appliqued reindeer, using her Patchsmith  Mug Rug Patterns  ( how cute is that?!)

Sew, no matter what flatware pouches you make,  be sure to upload them into your flickr page, and then you can share them with us in our Across The Pond Sew Along Flickr Group!  We love to see what you have made in our Sew Along!

I'm off to my sewing room!

  1. Very clever Susie. I think these would also be good for a coffee morning - they could hold the sugar sachet, teaspoon and napkin and then double as a coaster as well. Neat.
