I'm off to my sewing room! |
What a fun giveaway! How many machines...Let's see. I own 7 including the serger that's rarely used, and the old Singer 301 that is in bad shape and is being kept for spare parts for my usable one. My workhorse is my Janome 6600P and my favorite for precision piecing is my Featherweight. I have an old Pfaff, which is my take-along machine for occassions when I need something more than a straight stitch, and of course, Fiona, my Handiquilter.
ReplyDeleteI love blog hops! Thanks for joining this one. I find so many interesting blogs! I only have one sewing machine but it's a good one! A janome 12000!
ReplyDeleteI have a new Janome quilters machine that I mainly use, an older Janome, and an old Singer in a cabinet that I inherited. Thanks for a chance to win this great pattern! :)
ReplyDeleteI currently have 3 machines but only use 2. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI only use one sewing machine at the moment
ReplyDeleteI have an old Brother sewing machine that only does straight and zigzag stitches, but it is a workhorse! I have a Brother overlock machine, too, that is newer and I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely giveaway!
Oh, dear! I only have one sewing machine, a Singer that I inherited from my grandmother (I think she bought it in the late 70's or 80's). I can't find any reason to get a new one, because this works awesomely.
ReplyDeleteoooh... love the bag :) I use one machine named Jennie after my Grandma... she is a Janome and is my first machine... I started the quilting and sewing journey by hand-sewing everything so having a machine is a blessing LOL!
ReplyDeleteWe have 3 machines in the house. Hum I have thought about naming them but its hard enough just to find a name for each quilt I make.
ReplyDeleteIf my longarm counts, I sew on four machines. Each one has a different purpose. One for longarm quilting, one for our RV, one for my quilting room, and one I use for sewing with leather only.
ReplyDeleteI have a brother sewing machine that I run into the ground. I also have a Husqvarna that I've had since 1982 - she needs a service to get her running properly again, but I love her to bits and she's a lovely burgundy colour too!
ReplyDeleteWith love from Russia! I am a follower! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 sewing machines. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI have one well used and loved machine. Thank you for the lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI only have one sewing machine. That looks like a great bag! Thanks for the chance to win the pattern! :0)
ReplyDeleteI have one old pretty useless machine, it breaks down a lot! Soon I will be 40 and I am hoping to have a new super dooper machine then x
ReplyDeleteI have 3 sewing machines, but I only use 1 of them. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI've used one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your giveaway.
I only have one sewing machine, it is a simple Husqvarna, but it works for me :) If I ever win a big prize in the money lottery I would buy a more expensive one which can do a lot of different stuff :D
ReplyDeleteI love to make bags and this pattern looks great. Thank you for the chance to win!
Right now, I have two...a Bernina 350PE and a Singer Quantum XL100. =) I sew mostly on the Bernina, the other is for minimal embroidery. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win.
Only one machine, which I hardly ever use. A Kenmore 19110. I would much rather hand piece things. Now that I am hand quilting this queen size quilt.. I would much rather machine quilt though, and will be putting that machine into use really, really soon. Just have to finish this hexagon quilt first.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 machines I use regularly - both Husqvarnas - and an overlocker!
I only have Mr Toyota to sew on. He's just had a holiday at the sewing machine doctor and spa - had a tune up, a good'ol de-fluff, an oil change, a belt change and a week-long relax and now sews like a dream again. I think he is about 20 or 25 years old, so he's an old boy :) But I love him!
ReplyDeleteOh Dear, I have 7...well 8 if I count my serger. I do use them all for different functions and each are loved and taken care of. In fact one day I was picking a friend up to go to a quilt retreat and she laughed at me because I had my sewing machine buckled in ! Love your blog, thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate !
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway! I have 2 machines, one with a long throat for quilting. There were more in my past, but I've had to downsize, and really the two do everything I need right now.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 machines set up for sewing. My Featherweight 222K, Chloe, for straight stitching, and Pfaffy 20+ year old Pfaff for blanket (buttonhole applique). I have lots of others for just incase!
ReplyDeleteHi..Nice Prize!!
ReplyDeleteMy Singer died so my husband surprised me with a Brother...silly man. So I bought a Viking. I have a serger also...and a steam press. Not a sewing machine, but I LOVE it.
Now I'm off to look around here.
Carol
I have two machines that I have named 'Lucy' and 'Ethel'.... one is a Viking the other is an Elna... love them both.
ReplyDeleteGreat question. I use four different machines.
ReplyDeleteOne - I use an Elna!

I use two machines...A brother and a singer. I'd give both of them up though for a janome or bernina! Thanks for the giveaway. The bag is lovely.
ReplyDeleteJust one - my trusty older model Bernina!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty bag. For heavier stuff I use our 28 year old Kenmore. It is rugged. For quilts, clothes, etc I use my newer Brother.
ReplyDeletequilting[dash]lady[at]comcast[dot]net
I have a Kenmore I started with and a Singer, but I usually use my Kenmore.
ReplyDeleteI used one sewing machine and it's from my mum ;)
ReplyDeleteI've got two that I use all of the time. Love both of my Berninas. Two others not so much.

I love bags and made my first this summer, thank you for the giveaway. I have only access to my machine which is a Lervia, it is cheap and basic and was a present from my mil.
ReplyDeleteks(dot)eyles(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)uk
I use 1 sewing machine and 1 serger. The sewing machine is a brother 450q, which I like but would love something a little tougher with a larger harp. Maybe a separate machine just for quilting :)
ReplyDeleteI have 4 machines. I have a Huskavarna Mega Quilter, a Pfaff 2030, a featherweight and a serger that hardly gets used now that I only do quilts and not kids clothes. I've given my dd my elna sewing machine so she can sew, mend and quilt at her house. Thanks for the chance to win a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 usable sewing machines, but since my hubby bought me a Bernina 8 years ago, she has been my primary sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteI only use one machine. A very basic White.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win! I hate to confess but I have seven machines in active use. I have an HQ16 that I quilt with. I have a Singer 9W7 that I treadle with (yes, I use it!). I have a Babylock embroidery machine, a Janome MC6600 (I always do my bindings on this one), a Janome serger and then my babies. I do most of my piecing on either my 1836 Featherweight or my 1951 Singer 301. I also have a couple of others in the process of restoration because my husband got the bug and said, "Buy some more!" LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, I own 4 sewing machines. One Janome that is small and light and goes to classes, another Janome that is big and heavy and stays at home, a 1970's Bernina Sport that was a great bargain and way too good to miss the opportunity to buy and My Favourite - A 1950's singer 99K vintage that reminds me of my Beloved Grandma. Cheers, Karen.
ReplyDeleteI own several, I use 2 regularly
ReplyDeleteI have three. I use a bernina with a janome gold as a back up & as the one I take with me to sewing bees and classes. Then my backup has a back up - a janome knock off. If my girls want to sew with me, all three can be in use at the same time!
ReplyDeleteI have an old singer (maybe from the late eighties)? It has a slank shank and is all metal so it is pretty heavy duty and much better than the singers you get in Joanns now adays.
ReplyDeleteThree machines, two Berninas-an Activa 135 Patchwork edition, a 1630 and a Singer that my mother bought in 1954. I don't know the model of the Singer, but it's larger than a Featherweight.
ReplyDeleteI have one machine -- A Janome Magnolia!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet giveaway! I sew on two machines, a Janome (for piecing) and an old Singer 201 (for FMQ). Thanks!
ReplyDeletejust one, necchi - 42 years old. hugs

ReplyDeleteThanks for chance to win this AWESOME purse pattern too! :)
I have four machines. One doesn`t work but I love it and hope someday to get it fixed. One is my main machine - my Bernina, and I have a Singer that is my backup machine. But I also have my mother`s featherweight. Lucky me.

A brand new Janome serger, used 2 or 3 times, a Janome QC6260 , and my newest is a Janome Horizon. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 machines right now. Enjoy each of them Pfaff (2) Janome to take to classes. Thanks for the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteI use 2
ReplyDeleteWell there is "Charlie" who was given to me by a local widow. Charlie it appears to have been the quilter and his machine was a 1916 "Redeye" Singer that has a motor on him. With the bigger throat area, I'm slooooowly learning how to use Charlie to quilt things bigger than a doll quilt but man is his fly wheel is fast!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a Wilson & Wheeler (1904 I think) Treadle that is waiting for the Amish man to come and make "Eddie" pretty & working again. He was a gift from my fiancee who passed in '09.
Then there is my my piecer is a "newer" Brother CS-80.
Thank you for the chance to win your bag pattern.
Sincerely,
Tricia

ReplyDeleteI only have one sewing machine ( Bernina 440.) I call her Bernie, which is also my Mom's nickname.
ReplyDeleteYour give away pattern is very cute!
I have on sewing machine, it is a Bernina, I don't like sewing on any other machines. I work in a quilt store and I sometimes use the store's machine, luckily it is also a Bernina. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteI own 5 sewing machines, if you count the serger. One is the main one I use all the time, then I have an industrial machine I use a lot too. The other two belonged to my grandmothers - I am fortunate enough to have both of their machines! I don't use those, though they would work fine. Just don't have room to set them up. They are on display on a shelf above my industrial machine. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI own 6 operational machines and a couple that we don't know if they work. I sew on my Husqvarna Lily or my Mum gave me her old Designer 1. I quilt on my brand new LA Avante nick named Mrs. Biggins. I have my Nanna's Feighterweight and I recently bought 2 singer 301's.
ReplyDeleteBarb@Witsend
I have one machine that my mother bought for me and it is your basic singer model, but so far has everything that I need!
ReplyDeleteRight now, I'm only using one machine. I'm about to dig out my old treadle machine to use for quilting (and exercise LOL). Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeletecute giveaway. did I miss a question about a sewing machine? I have a Janome now.
ReplyDeleteI only own one sewing machine, a pretty basic Viking Husqvarna. I dream about all-singing, all-dancing quilting machines!
ReplyDeleteI was fortunate to get another sewing machine just recently, a Janome Horizon 7700. Lucky me! My older Sears machine will be used when I quilt with friends. I haven't name either one yet.
ReplyDeleteI have 7 different machines: embroidery - stand alone; combination sewing/embroidery; felting machine; regular sewing machine; serger; flat-lock sewing machine
ReplyDeleteI only have two no make that three... a Singer that I have had forever, a Brother I got last November and my treadle that was my granny's it still works and I must say it has been a long time since she has been opened.
ReplyDeleteI have a Lewenstein sewingmachine and a Toyota serger, and a few months ago I bought a singer featherweight.... unfortunatily it turned out to be broken; it only knows full speed.....
ReplyDeleteI only have one sewing machine. It is a Walmart machine and called Singer Simple and has become a good machine for $100.00. Sometimes I get mad at it - it has its moments - and I called it names. Thank you for joining in the Blog Hop and giving all of a chance to win that darling PDF Rosie Patchwork Bag. I have always wanted a bag.

I only have one sewing machine since I gave my mother's featherweight to my daughter-in-law and granddaughter. I have a Brother machine and I am pretty happy with it! Just wish I had more time to sew.
ReplyDeleteI just use my basic Singer that I got at Kmart for under a hundred bucks a few years ago. It has like 50 different embroidery settings that I turn the dial for. I love her, she does fabulous work ;) Thanks for the chance to win, I'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteI have 1 Pfaff sewing machine that I've had for years and also 1 new-ish Janome serger for finishing garments. I don't need any more machines in my sewing room, although a long-arm quilter would be nice someday.
ReplyDeleteI use my Bernina 830 and my Juki TL98Q and love both! I have two more that rarely see the light of day.
ReplyDeleteI own two Singers...one I use at home and one I keep at my LQS for Saturday sewing. Thanks for being so generous.
ReplyDelete3 but there is room for more!!!
ReplyDeleteThree, including serger
ReplyDeleteHave 2 machines for sewing, both Janome's, and one serger that is also often in use. Then have 2 older machines hanging around my house, but don't use them yet, as I have no room to put them on a table to use. thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI have 5 machines in total- two which I don't use but keep for sentimental reasons- one because it was the first thing I bought with one of my first cheques as a teacher and the other because it is a treadle machine that belonged to my great grandmother.
ReplyDeleteThe three I do use are a new to me feather weight, my Elna's quilters dream for finishing my quilts and quilting baby blankets and the third is a Babylock quilting pro machine that is great to quilt on. I love them all and they all make important contributions to my being able to make quilts.
What a lovely quilt bag pattern- very pretty colors.
Regards from Western Canada,
Anna

ReplyDeleteI currently have 3 machines. One is an old Singer from my mother in law (I can't bring myself to use it for fear of breaking it) my Janome 300 and a Singer from many years ago. My next machine will be an embroider any suggestions?
