Summer Sewing

Summertime Sewing

How cute are these little Kissy Fishy blocks?  I didn't have to go find my fishing pole to have some summer fun.     I just  sewed up some super cute  fish blocks, for testing  out a brand new quilt pattern by Lorna, at Sew Fresh Quilts!  She has four new designs out!

You'll see the rest of this school of fish soon.... and another pattern I was able to help test for Lorna!

An Instagram friend pointed out the heart in the center of  these four fish , when 2 fish  kiss and two  fish rub tails together!  (Accidental placement for an IG shot!)

I didn't go fishing, but I did take some nice walks.....

Some dramatic Coneflowers

This " extra -ruffily"  Rose of Sharon, came from a seed of the
"non-ruffly" Rose of Sharon bush, below

I'm off to my sewing room!

  9. Those Kissy Fishies are so sweet Susie! I love the colors you chose. The heart is pure serendipity!
Beautiful photos! How amazing that you grew a double Rose of Sharon. I used to have some from seeds from my grandmother's yard, but our Jack Russell chewed the bushes off at the base. Crazy dog.
