Summer Sewing

Summertime Sewing

How cute are these little Kissy Fishy blocks?  I didn't have to go find my fishing pole to have some summer fun.     I just  sewed up some super cute  fish blocks, for testing  out a brand new quilt pattern by Lorna, at Sew Fresh Quilts!  She has four new designs out!

You'll see the rest of this school of fish soon.... and another pattern I was able to help test for Lorna!

An Instagram friend pointed out the heart in the center of  these four fish , when 2 fish  kiss and two  fish rub tails together!  (Accidental placement for an IG shot!)

I didn't go fishing, but I did take some nice walks.....

Some dramatic Coneflowers

This " extra -ruffily"  Rose of Sharon, came from a seed of the
"non-ruffly" Rose of Sharon bush, below

Fence and wild flowers

I'm off to my sewing room!

  1. Well, that heart in the middle of those kissy fishies just seems meant to be!

  2. I love the hearts in the middle of the Kissy Fish. I wonder what it would look like with lots of these together this way? ........

  3. Cute fish pattern!! Bonus with the heart :)

  4. So much beauty inside the studio and outside.

  5. Those fish are very cute Susie. I love coneflowers and Sharon blossoms and daisies and echinops - pretty much all flowers. 💟.

  6. Pretty fishies and I like the secondary heart too!

  7. A lovely set of photos, Susie!! Really like the fence and the wild flowers photo. Thanks so much for linking up on Wandering Camera!

  8. Wonderful photos!
My your Rose of Sharon blossoms are beautiful.

  9. Those Kissy Fishies are so sweet Susie! I love the colors you chose. The heart is pure serendipity!
Beautiful photos! How amazing that you grew a double Rose of Sharon. I used to have some from seeds from my grandmother's yard, but our Jack Russell chewed the bushes off at the base. Crazy dog.
