I have decided to set up a big goal for myself this month.... and join in with Heidi and the others at the OMG group for inspiration.

My February Goal:
Quilt and finish my Millhouse Inn Petite Fleurs quilt

I have
The fabrics I set aside for this quilt. And, yes ... there is MORE fabric for more quilts to come! |
( I think Millhouse Inn was my first fat quarter bundle of fabric that I purchased , and apparently I kept buying more fabric each time that I found it on sale , to "go along" with that fat quarter bundle . )
I bought the pattern back in 2009 or 2010, when I saw this design would work well with my Millhouse Inn

I hope it will look shabby chic-ish after it is quilted.

I better get started on it.
Note to self: Remember to remove the persistent kitty helper before I start sewing!
Hop on over to Red Letter Quilts to see what other folks are working on this month for their goal. And you can see more pictures in the Flickr group HERE.
I'm off to my sewing room! |

I can't wait to see your finish, I love fabrics & design.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! Love the soft colors in your version. Good luck with your February goal.
ReplyDeleteOh that is so beautiful Susie! The perfect combination of fabrics and pattern. You got it put together so quickly it's amazing.
ReplyDeleteLOL, sometimes I do the same thing with FQ bundles. You sort of forget about all the fabrics you bought to go along with the bundle.
Best wishes with your Whiskery quilting! :)
I love Whiskers - lying there all innocent - stopping you from reaching your OMG! Your quilt top is gorgeous and SO big. That is going to take you a lot of quilting. So stop reading your comments and get to work. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow, you started that only last week. I'm impressed. I look forward to seeing how you choose to quilt it.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about cats and quilts? They just can't seem to resist laying on them. (proving cats are the smartest animal) I bet you are thoroughly enjoying working these cherished fabrics. I look forward to seeing what you decide to do with your quilting.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!! You must have worked very hard every day to get this together so fast.
