Friday Block Talk
It's been awhile since I sat down to make a few Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt blocks. I really enjoyed making these! I had fun looking through my laundry basket of Denyse Schmidt fabrics to pick the fabrics. Block # 27: Darting Birds

I think I'll be adding to my pile of FWSQ blocks this summer. They are very relaxing for me to make ( by paper pieced foundation!)
What do you like to sew, that is relaxing?

Such lovely blocks Susie - Both here and on your FWSQ page! i have a tendency to get giddy over your fabric choices and you've done that to me here again. Looking forward to every block!
ReplyDeleteI find monotonous piecing of any kind relaxing. You know, where you get into a rhythm while sewing things in batches?
Your blocks are looking great! Loved seeing the whole group together on the flickr page.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see these blocks again. I always wonder what fabrics you would use :)

I have missed these cute blocks!! Glad to see you are back to making them!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it theraputic to just go through a series? I really like the fabrics you've chosen in all of them. Nice! It's funny how blocks can look so much better when someone else does them!

These are so cute! I especially love the fussy-cut economy block!
ReplyDeleteYou get a 'whoop whoop' from me for these lovely FW blocks. Love your fabric choices.
