Project: A Paris Traveler's Bag - Phillies Style:
Paris Traveler's Bag Details:
Pattern: Paris Traveler's Bag by JoAnna at Fig Tree Quilts ( avail here )
Size: approx. 23" x 15" x 9 "
Zipper: 24 "
Interfacings used: Pellon FF 987 and Pellon SF 101
Early in the summer, my friend commissioned a Paris Traveler's bag. And she asked if I could make it in a Philadelphia Phillies style . Luckily, I had some knit jersey pajamas (the red Phillies fabric) in my stash! I carefully cut up the pajamas to make it sewable for the accents.
The blue cotton blender fabric became the main outer color for the bag.
I added SF 101 Fusible interfacing to all of the knit material, for extra reinforcement. The handles were made with the 2 different fabrics, to give some more red pop to the bag. I also added an extra outer pocket, because we all can use some extra storage space!

Here's a closer look at one outer pocket....
And this is the top of the bag, with the long zipper!

This is the inside of the bag.... It can hold a lot!!
I was happy how the bag turned out, and hope that the gal who gets it will enjoy using it!
