It was a fun journey making this quilt! I love Joanna Figueroa's strip method of putting the blocks together. I fell in love with each little block!
I used two different "clotted cream" background fabrics |
My mother's Nancy Drew book.... The Moss Covered Mansion |
Petite Fleurs Quilt.... in Millhouse Inn fabrics by Susie's Sunroom |
I decided to be brave, and try some free motion quilting on the borders.
I made up a simple rose leaf motif (of three leaves), and marked them with a washable magic marker to show me where to quilt. (It did make some crinkles, so I was happy.)

I think my Millhouse Inn Petite Fleurs quilt gets the seal of approval from Whiskers |
While sewing my binding on , I realized that the blocks made from the darker colors create round shapes! This month's challenge, at the Le Challenge blog, is ROUND ! I have submitted it for this month's challenge. You can see the other beautiful entries for this challenge HERE.
