The Patchsmith's Sampler Quilt Sew Along

The Patchsmith has a  new Sampler Quilt Block book out!

Have you seen that Amanda, The Patchsmith, has just released her new Sampler Quilt Blocks book?!!   It looks sooo fun and cute!!  It includes patterns for 50  blocks ( 6 " finished) , including patchwork and some applique!  And of course, they are written so clearly and precisely, with excellent diagrams and pictures, in the outstanding PDF Patchsmith style !!

I am really excited, because Amanda is also having a  Patchsmith Sampler Quilt Sew Along , starting March 5, 2018!   She will be introducing a new block every week , from her book, and giving tips along the way!!  I will be able to make a Patchsmith Sampler Quilt after a year, while having fun sewing these blocks and joining in with others who are making their blocks!!

The Patchsmith 's Sampler Sew Along

After I got my The Patchsmith's Sampler Quilt Block book, I couldn't wait to make the first block!!

#1 Brick Wall
The fabrics I'll be primarily using:
Guernsey by Brenda Riddle  - a fq and some yardage I had in my stash
Bumble Berries by The Jungs - charm pack my daughter gave me
Aloha Girl by Fig Tree and Co - charm pack in stash

I've already mixed them all together in #1 Brick Wall!  They remind me of the English countryside.

I will posting my blocks on Instagram -  @SusiesSunroom  using hashtags:   #Patchsmithsamplerblocks  #PatchsmithSamplerSewAlong  #SusiesSunroomPatchsmithSamplerQuilt

This is going to be a fun year!!   Wouldn't it be fun to join in, and sew at your own pace?

I'm off to my sewing room!

I'll be linking up at:    Can I Get A Whoop Whoop @ Confessions of a Fabric Addict    and

  2. Love this block. What a nice way to use scraps. The sewalong sounds FUN! Good luck keeping up with it. I always fizzle out after the first few challenges. But YOU I'm sure will not! :)
