I added a few details ...
I embroidered " Susie's Cookies 2014 " on the cookie jar (by machine)-
I put two little red buttons on the drawers in Betty's kitchen-
I used aqua polka dotted fabric for the back, and used a decorative stitch to sew a label to the backing.
I like the aqua and white binding...
One of my favorite blocks... the teapot |
I really love this bowl and spoon block, too! |
I used 2 command hooks (3M) to hang the wallhanging on my sunroom wall....
It is hanging beside last year's BoM, And Sew On -

ReplyDeleteAnd... how cool to see both the BoM wallhangings in your sewing room! That just made my day!
Turned out fantastic! Love Betty block.
ReplyDeleteReally great job!
I always said you were the queen on paper-piecing and this just goes to prove it.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to pick a favourite it would be the mixing bowl and spoon block, though I too love the teapot block.
Susie, I just love how it turned out! Both projects look great hanging together. What good memories they must bring about whenever you look at them, not just of doing the BoM, but of the moments in your life they represent. Way to go!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE it!! Well done for completing both BoM's (I am hanging my head right now, as I didn't finish either - almost though!). You are inspirational!
ReplyDeleteJeneta... if you even got to make one of each, then you got to have some fun in the Sew Alongs! Maybe you have saved the patterns and will get to make one or more someday into a little project!
DeletePhenomenal job Susie!!! I love it!!! The colors and fabrics you chose carry the theme all the way through! So awesome to have all of those Kristy patterns on one wall!! I am sure both of your wall hangings bring a smile to your face every time you look at them; they are both such happy pieces :)
